2C is Finally Here.

Born May 16, 1987, Romeo Mulbah a.k.a. 2C is pop/hip-hop newest lyrical phenom. 2C relocated to the U.S. with his father due to the Liberian civil war. His humble introduction to the hip-hop game began with an old tape recorder after being inspired by the “HOT BOYZ” of CASHMONEY RECORDS in 1999.

He has won awards such as Liberian Image Award Winner Hip Hop and R&B Artist of 2008, the 2009 Liberian Entertainment Awards Winner Best Video Liberian Girl, and the 2010 Artist Of The Year for Liberian Entertainment Awards. When people hear I’m from Africa, they tend to underestimate me. But when I hit the stage I leave no doubt that I’m a serious contender. I want to make music for the whole world to vibe to. I’m bringing something new to the Hip Hop game.  Plus I got a whole continent and nation (Liberia) willing to support me and all the struggles we’ve been through.

2C has been featured on, BET Jazz, The Africa Channel, radio stations in the US, United Kingdom, and Liberia. He keeps contemplating everything that surrounds him in all of his travels and brings it into his music. Going hard is his motto and his belief is the “SKY IS THE LIMIT”.

Abraham S. Gibson, Jr. CKA BOB “Q” Too Creative was born unto the union of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Gibson. He was born on October 2, 1990. Abraham attended the Cathedral Catholic School from K-1 to the 9th grade when he and his mother and sister moved to the USA in September of 2008. He was President of his class of 07 and 08. He became the Financial Secretary of the Student Council Government of the school’s student body. 

He was always an honored student and received Certificates of Excellence.

While he was in Liberia, he and other youths formed themselves into a group called the Black Street Boys and was later changed to the Good Boys Company which motto became “Love One Another.” He was the Secretary General and later was voted as President. While President, he formed the organization into two parts, the Music Department and Sports Department. He brought into focus the aim and objection of the organization which is, to bring all youths of Liberia to promote Love and Respect for one another and also work toward success. (Continue)

Born Skeitha Richards a/k/a Summer Angel in 1982 on the island of Jamaica. Migrated to the United States at the early ages of (5) five. Mother “Talk about Pat aka Patrica Dyce Jackson” and father “Captain Bebo Dan aka Donovan Richards” always knew the their daughter had something special about her inside and out. Her father Donovan was an artist himself and would write songs for his daughter Summer Angel to proform infront of a large crowd of people. At the tender age of 4-5 young Summer Angel was called on stage in Linstead St. Cathrine to profrom infront of over 4000 people at the Grand Market parade. It was than that the people near and far knew this little girl had no fear.

Summer Angel came to the USA at the age of 7. Has the years went by she picked up song writing and discovered that she had the gift of drawing aswell. She linked up with producer Billy Slata who influenced her writing and style of music (roots and cultural, Reggae and dancehall ) in Bronx, NYC where she began her dream. Summer Angel recorded her first songs at the Don One Recording Studio in Brooklyn New York. (Living is Hard, & also Maked a Remix to singer Monica "I Should Make a Move" hit song). As her career developed, Summer began performing at shows along side artists such as Luciano, Vybes Kartel, Beenie Man, Elephant Man, Macka Dimond, Bonty Killer,Wayne Marshel, Lady Saw and a long list of other top name in the industry.

NANA NYC aka M'Dubb

Nana Yaw Boateng alias Nana NYC is a US based Ghanaian artist making huge waves among Ghanaian communities in US and Europe. Born in Accra, he spent a few years in Kwahu and Accra before migrating to the United States in 1992. He found his love for music early and started playing drums in the church. As a young boy living in Mpraeso, he was exposed to live band music on the streets every other weekend and at times at funerals. All these honed his passion for music. He started beat boxing and drawing crowds, which would pay to listen to the wonderful beats he made with his mouth.

According to Nana, he realized that he wanted to be a recording artist when he first learned how to record on cassette players, “I just used to love how my voice sounded on there.” However, it wasn’t until 2003, that he had his first stage performance at the Miss Ghana New York pageant at Herbert H. Lehman College. This opened more doors and made him visible to Ghanaians living in New York. As a means of marketing himself, he was advised to create an artist page on MySpace. When creating his page, he realized that the name Nana was already taken so he added NYC because he was in New York City.

Hip hop artist Archangel recently released his [mixtape “Hallelujah M.U.S.I.C. (Classic Edition.” Coast 2 Coast presents the project, which is hosted by DJ Charlie White, in association with Ground Level Leaders/Prophecy Writings. It is now available for free download. “Hallelujah M.U.S.I.C” features Archangel on tracks with guest artist appearances from KI, Miscellaneous, LC, D-Jae, Jo’zzy, and Web. Production credits include Raw Heatz, 531 Music, Claws, Carmike, and Sinista, Web, and Trizz of The Machine.

Memphis artist Archangel is the first person out of his family to pursue music, and so he lists his influences as those people who make life a melody—everyone from your everyday construction worker with a jackhammer, to a vocal note from Marvin Gaye. This mixtape is the first of three in his “M.U.S.I.C.” series. His goal with the “Classic Edition” is to bring to light a certain depth that he feels hip hp music is lacking. The second mixtape, “Hallelujah M.U.S.I.C. (Exclusive Edition),” which is hosted by DJ Crumbz is set to drop in summer 2012; and the final installment, “Hallelujah M.U.S.I.C. (Live Edition), will be hosted by DJ Smalls and will be released soon after.
